1. Final Scores are up HERE

And what a final event Long Mynd Hike turned out to be - apart from the weather forcast of severe rain (which turned up at about 2am) the event had most of the top runners competing for their best long run scores to see who would win the series and the next 3 places down the list. The rain did put quite a few runners and walkers off during the night and there were many retirees, so well done to all those that did battle with the gale force winds and heavy rain.

Well done to all the runners taking part in this years Vasque Ultra-running Championships.

2. PARTY TIME

The First Runfurther Party, which will include this years prize giving, a meal, a slide show or two, cake, drinking and some running - is filling up fast

3. Grand Slamming
Stuart and Karen did it - they completed the whole of the Vasque Ultra-running Championships 2008 to join Julian Brown as the only 3 runners who have completed this feat of 12 ultras in one year, covering 471 miles of British fells and trails (we haven't added up the total number of miles to get to all these races, the amount of food consumed, the trainers worn out or the friendships formed - but they all added up to make a supurb year for both - see how they got on at the Party in November. 4. SPOT PRIZES - October 2008

Last month of Spot Prizes from the website - all prizes that have not been claimed by the end of october will go to the Party to be handed out as Spot Prizes.
