That's it - you've had a month off - now back to the races...........
Osmotherley Phoenix next, a great 33 mile route with 4000ft of climb and mostly off road, a summer fete atmosphere for all the family and some great pubs for staying on for a few after the race. Enter HERE
Then we've got the BIG new race at the end of July beginning of August, with 100 extra points if you do the Montane Lakeland 100 or normal series points for the 50 miler. Enter HERE
A week later is the new Dark and White Event - The Tour of Bradwell - 31 miles on the Peak District trails and open fells. Enter HERE
Series leaders are Andy Rankin from Team Vasque, Julie Gardner from Peak Bog Fairies with Dick Scroop for the M60's, John King for the M50's, Cath Worth for the F50's with Eleanor Robinson needing some more races to complete her second year as the only F60. Well done everyone, lets see what the next race brings in scores and changes at the top of the leader board.

Stop press: we've passed loads of beautiful large grey dolphins. The wind has died and we're rowing like mad.
There's a slight concern that another boat has gone the other side of Islay, but we'll soon be in the same water
which will destroy any advantage they may have. Cruising boats all around Are motoring along offering us tows
that we cannot accept. It is always a concern when they appear on the horizon as they seem to be going quickly
and we think they may be in the race.

Andy Rankin (and Allen Smalls) has been selected to run in the IAU World Trail Championships in Serre Chevalier, France, to represent the UK. Best of luck and we look forward to hearing all about it.

Ultra-running training camps.......
We've teamed up with Alpine Oasis, who along with Lizzie Hawker are running a training camp in the French Alpes.
Course Leader Andy Mouncey says “we will be offering club runners and adventure athletes a chance to do something really different”. “Whether you’re into adventure running or adventure racing, fell running or foot races, mountain marathons or the Marathon des Sables this adventure running camp will be a real boost to your training and preparation” says Andy.
Over the summer Lizzy will be hard at work preparing for this year’s Ultra Trail hoping for a third successive win. She will be conveniently incorporating runs from the Adventure Running Camp into her last minute preparation for this year’s event. All the Alpine Oasis team are wishing Lizzy every success…
